Our Story
Rooted in Savannah, Roasted with Intention
Bowerbird Coffee opened on East Perry Street with a simple conviction: that a great cup of coffee should feel like an occasion, not a routine. We source green beans from farms that treat their land and their people well, roast them in small batches right here in Savannah, and pull every shot with the kind of care that only comes from doing it every single day.
Our space is designed to be a refuge — whether you're grabbing a morning espresso before work, settling in with a book, or meeting friends over pour-over and fresh croissants. The name Bowerbird comes from the bird that builds elaborate, beautiful nests from whatever it finds. That's exactly what we do: we take the finest ingredients and craft something that feels like home.
Our Process
Roasted in Savannah, Shipped from Here
Every bag of Bowerbird Coffee is roasted on our equipment right here in Savannah. We buy green beans direct from cooperatives in Ethiopia, Colombia, Guatemala, and Kenya, and we roast in batches small enough to pay attention to every variable.
Our roast profiles are designed to let the origin shine — bright and fruity for the Ethiopians, rich and chocolatey for the Central Americans. If you're not sure where to start, tell us what you like and we'll point you to the right bag.
